MINUTES - JOCASSEE TROUT CLUB

JULY 26, 2005

The July Meeting of the Jocassee Trout Club was called to order at 7:00 p.m., July 26, 2005, at Fatz Café in Easley, South Carolina.

The President, Jim Mayer, presided. Each person present introduced himself. An invocation followed by Don Gibson.

The minutes of the June 28^th meeting were corrected to reflect that the Home Page should reflect "Friends of Jocassee Trout Club", rather than simply "Friends of Jocassee". Otherwise, they were approved as published.

The Treasurer's report was presented by Scott Bullions as follows:

The Membership application Form was presented by Bryan Lee as follows:

The Questionnaire proposed by Matt McCreery was discussed. Matt was asked to modify the last question concerning DNR Rules.

Sam Jones reported that the website was operating properly and he had added the "Minutes of Meetings" page and will add the "Friends of Jocassee Trout Club" and the "Associate Members" pages.

The Secretary reported there were now 27 paid members

President Mayer reported that work on a brochure and meeting fliers were awaiting adoption of the logo. The logo proposed by Zan Maddox was presented, as well as some color drafts for use on decals and shirts. No final action was taken on the adoption of the logo. Members wishing to input on the logo question were encouraged to contact Zan Maddox directly.

During the meal, various members reported on their recent fishing success or lack thereof.

Don Gibson then made a brief presentation concerning the use of planer boards.

The next meeting was scheduled for September 27, 2005, with the location to be posted by Matt McCreery.
