MINUTES - JOCASSEE TROUT CLUB
September 29, 2005
The September meeting of the Jocassee Trout
Club was called to order at 7:00 p.m., September 27, 2005, at Fatz Café in Easley, South Carolina.
President Jim Mayer presided. He gave
a welcome and the invocation.
Jim Rudy advised the group and passed out
a flier regarding a U. S. Coast Guard course which may interest some.
The minutes of the prior meeting were approved
as posted on the website.

Sam Jones updated the group on our website
which has been receiving significant hits. At least 517 different computers have accessed our website. He has
added the "Friends of Jocassee" and “Associate Members” pages.
Discussion as to whether the Jocassee Trout
Club logo should be used in color or black and white was held. No decision was made. It was decided that board members
and officers should vote by email.
Current membership was reported at thirty
seven (37).
President Mayer presented a proposed club
brochure. President Mayer presented a Jocassee Map and a form for monitoring fish logs. This format was accepted
by the Group.
Ken Sloan (Jocassee Outdoor Center) has agreed
to receive the logs from fishermen and forward to DNR.
Bryan Lee and Matt McCreery agreed to be responsible
for distributing the forms and publishing the JTC informational brochure.
After our meal, Dan Rankin, Regional Fisheries
Coordinator with the DNR, spoke to the group. He shared much of the data collected relating to fish population and fish
harvest since the Lake was filled. All found his portion most interesting.
There being no further business, the next
meeting was set for November 8, 2005, and the meeting adjourned.
